Welcome to our website!  My name is David Pfotenhauer (Dr. Dave), a retired Endodontist (root canal specialist), Air Force veteran and worship leader.  My wife and I joined the RV craze at the height of the Covid crisis and we quickly became frustrated with the repeat trips to the dealership for service and repairs.  We lost more than 5 months out of our first year of ownership!  

I've always been handy so I started fixing things on my own, leaning heavily on YouTube videos, when I stumbled on how-to's from the National RV Training Academy.  Each of their videos ends with a plea to help fill a huge void in the RV industry by getting trained as a technician.

I had already sold my practice and was sticking around for a transition year when I got the crazy idea (ask my wife) of actually launching a retirement side-hustle as a mobile RV technician. I spent months doing online training and certification through the RV Training Institute out of Elkhart, Indiana, and then attended seven weeks of hands-on training at the NRVTA in Athens, Texas, after I retired from dentistry.

My wife, Eden, a retired pastor and home-school mom, has come on board handling interior detailing and tank cleaning. We're blessed to have our son Sam alongside us in the business. A proud member of the Indiana National Guard, Sam spent years in HVAC before building his own mobile farrier business — so the concept of showing up at a customer's location, fully equipped and ready to work, is already in his DNA. His wife Riley helps with bookkeeping. Together we are a family-owned, veteran-owned small business committed to serving the RV community with professionalism, integrity, and genuine care. We couldn't be more excited about what we're building together.
